Mia's Doing Well

Thank you everyone for your prayers. All things considered Mia is doing really well. I couldn't have been more proud of her today. Her pain comes and goes in waves, so we would appreciate continued prayers for her over the next few days. A cold wash cloth on her eyes brings her a little comfort (as seen in the picture).

The surgery went well and was faster than we expected. I am not sure when we will know if it was a success. She will be in considerable pain for the next two days but after the third day should start feeling back to normal. Her spirit is great. She absolutely hates getting the anitbiotic drops in her eyes and we have to do that three times a day. You can pray for mommy and daddy in addition to Mia on that. It is a horrible wrestling match with tender eyes.

Prayer Request - Mia's Eye Surgery

Monday, June 21st Mia has to have eye muscle surgery on both of her eyes. We would love it if you could pray for Mia. Specificially, please pray that she is not scared tomorrow when they take her away from us nor when she wakes up to a stranger; pray that the surgery is successful (there is a 30% chance it won't work and we will have to do it again); pray that her pain is minimal and that she bounces back very quickly; lastly pray that this does not affect her confidence (she is doing so well right now).

Thanks for all your prayers!!!

Water Station

Yes, we rebuilt the water station. A friend at church asked if the second sandbox was smaller. He was shocked that i would scale anything back. It is not smaller. It is actually in some respects a little bigger. It is just that it doesn't look as huge in a bigger yard and half of it is burried into the ground.

Here are some pics of the girls hard at work. It really is amazing how fascinated they are by filling up their bucket and then dumping it into the sandbox. They can do this for an hour straight. It is AWESOME!

Thank you again, Papa for all your hard work.

P.S. All the rocks you see in one picture in the background Papa and I dug out of the ground. Yep. Lots of hard work.

Mo the Amazing!

Check out the adorable handmade dolls from Mo. We are just so spoiled rotten by Mo. These were little housewarming presents for the girls. I just wish everyone had a Mo in their lives. Her gifts are absolutely delightful.

Thank you, Mo!!!!

Pool Fun

Dan and I feel that the girls get cheated of some things because they are so close in age. We can't just easily go to story time at the library, take a walk in the neighborhood, go swimming, get a lot of one on one time....however as you can see, 95% of the time they are the best of friends and just have a blast being together.

First Corn on the Cob

Like I said this past week was just packed full of fun. Here are pictures of the girls' first time eating corn on the cob. Mia fell in love with it.

Fritz's and Ice Cream

Butde and Papa's stay was just loaded with summer fun. One night we went to dinner at Fritz's and then had Sheridan's custard. I don't know who had more fun at Fritz's, the girls or Papa. We couldn't get Papa out of the restaurant. He was just fascinated by the trains.

And Brianna had her first hotdog and loved it!

Papa's Box

All three girls got into the action of helping papa build their new sandbox. Yes, those are nails in Hadley's hands. It is amazing how the third child can do just about whatever they want.

Summer...Oh to be a kid again!!!
