A Taste of What's To Come

Last Thursday we had our family picture session with our amazing friend and photographer, Jamie Miller.  She sent us a teaser picture.  This picture just captures so much personality.  We can't wait to see the rest.

Memorial Weekend Fun

We have had a fun filled Memorial Weekend.  It began with the Deeble girls decorating the house for their cousins.  Very, very creative decorations.

Then Saturday when the cousins arrived, we had lots of backyard fun.

Hadley and Brooke had their First Cousin Sleepover.  These two are a month apart in age and the best of friends.

Then Sunday we did church, went to the pool for the first time in Kansas, and made homemade ice cream (another first using a wedding gift that hadn't been touched for 9 years).
And the weekend isn't even over.  We still have swimming and a bar-b-q with best friends.  Fun, fun!

Pioneer Preschool End of School Picnic

Today was a full day.  The three girls all had their end of school picnic.  What a blast.  But wow was it a challenge to race around and try to watch all three girls at their events.  That said we were able to capture some precious moments.

The day started with Brianna being WAY too COOL to have her picture taken.

Hadley's favorite event was playing with the parachute pictured above.  She also loved trying to play volleyball with a beach ball.

And what a poser.  The minute she saw the camera on her this is what she did.

Brianna couldn't stop laughing playing with the parachute.

Mia LOVED the obstacle course and was very serious and focused on all the games.  But check out this athletic pose.  Next thing we know she is going to be asking to play volleyball.

Here is a picture of Brianna with her "friend" Jack.  The cutest thing ever though is at the end of the day the girls were playing on the playground and all of a sudden up runs Jack to give Brianna a goodbye hug.  Brianna then as we were leaving realized that this was it.  She started balling and cried for about 10 minutes that she was going to miss Jack and that he was her best friend She was only consoled when told she could invite him to her birthday party and then she asked if we could please invite him over for a playdate.  Bri's teacher said all the girls liked Jack.  And Dan even had to concede that he liked Jack.  However he can't look at this picture because it pains him.  We are so in over our head.

Time to eat

Hadley completed 3 year old preschool and Mia and Bri finished their time at Pioneer Preschool and will be heading to Kindergarten in the fall.

My New Favorite Past Time

So my vegetable garden is proving to be my new favorite hobby.  When the house gets loud, wild and crazy, I tell Dan I am going out to my garden for a minute.  I just love training the tomatoes up their cages, doing a little pruning and checking on the progress of all my plants.  I also use to love watering but the nursery slapped my hands on spraying water everywhere and I now have soaker hoses.  NO FUN.

We have also had three salads from our backyard.  AWESOME!!!  Even if we don't actually eat another thing from the garden, I have had a blast.  I am already plotting at least two more raised beds for next year (maybe even three).  I am dying to do muskmelons, peas, beans and garlic.

Hadley's 1st Inaugural Trip to a Royals Game!

Hadley met me at Church, we grabbed a quick lunch (peanut butter and honey sandwiches) and we took off for a ballgame that we've been looking forward to for over a year now.  Just like her two older sisters, this was Hads' first ballgame.  But... actually, it started with a quick nap - on the way to the stadium...
This is her face upon first seeing the field and finding her seat.  It was amazing - she was on sensory overload.  The second we walked out of the tunnel and saw the field, the crowd erupted and the Royals promptly had four hits and scored three runs.  It was pandemonium that I think overwhelmed her a bit.  I, of course, might've been a twinge over-excited to be sharing that 3 run rally with my daughter.

I'm not going to lie.  She was way better than the other kids.  Scouts started to swarm.

Oh my Hads.  I wish this day never had to end.  You were so excited, so sweet, so proud to be with me.  It was a highlight of my life and I left with my heart being full - to just have been with you.

Last Day of Preschool all Together

Friday is Mia and Brianna's last day of preschool.  On Friday they have a school picnic and field day.  So today was their last day of class.  I was sad that this was the last time that I would drop off all three girls together.  Pics of the car line drop off and pickup.  Best thing ever invented.

Let the Summer Fun Begin

I realized the girls needed better cooking utensils.  I scoured ebay but didn't want to pay their prices.  I was about to go check out the goodwills in town when our friend Lynette said she was buying new pots and pans and could have her old ones.  So much fun.  Thanks Lynette.

Mud Pie Station

I have officially fallen off of my rocker.  I decided to make the girls a mud pie station.  It was a total hit last night with the kids at Yard Wine.  For the record, I thought up this idea before I saw the latest Pottery Barn Kids catalog.  They now have a kid's potting table and garden planter.  Weird....that my brain is in sync with them.  :)

**The only rule is that the mud pie station and sand box cannot mix.

Yard Wine

Our first Yard Wine.  It was a blast.
